About nate peláez

Nate Peláez is a designer and entrepreneur currently studying Design and Environmental Analysis (DEA) at Cornell University. Drawing from his experience at high-end interior design firms and his background in luxury residential projects, Nate balances technical precision with a distinct creative narrative.

His design philosophy is rooted in the Art Deco aesthetic, which he views as a perfect vessel for the "organic architecture" philosophy of Frank Lloyd Wright. Nate believes that true design should be a bridge between the traditional and the modern, seamlessly blending the organic with the man-made to create environments that feel both intentional and alive.

As a biracial creative, Nate views this architectural dichotomy as a reflection of his own identity. He finds power in the tension between contrasting elements, combining textures, histories, and styles that may not traditionally align, to create a cohesive and sophisticated whole. This focus on the beauty of the "dichotomy" informs every project he touches, from high-end interiors to branding.

His entrepreneurial drive is evidenced by his own venture, NJLP Design, where he explores the intersection of minimalist luxury and visual storytelling. Beyond the studio, Nate leads the digital strategy and production for the Reality Court podcast and manages a boutique Airbnb property, overseeing everything from spatial curation to guest experience.
